This award recognizes an outstanding University staff or team member who demonstrates dedication to service through individual efforts, group contributions, and commitment to our larger community. Among this year’s honorees is our own Joey Carls, Manager of the Finance Solution Center in UVA Finance. Finally, as the calendar year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements we’ve accomplished together and the journey we’ve shared. All EVP-COO employees play a vital role in driving our success. I’m truly grateful for their hard work, dedication, and resilience all year long, especially among our essential employees, many of whom will remain on Grounds working over the winter break.
This time of year is about connection, gratitude, and looking ahead with optimism. It’s also an opportunity to pause and recharge, spend time with loved ones, and reflect on what matters most. Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season and a New Year filled with health and happiness.
